Chiropractor Dr. Nicholas Depretis D.C.
Dr. Nicholas A. Depretis is a Pittsburgh-area native who grew up in Baldwin and graduated from the Baldwin-Whitehall School District. His academic background is rooted in movement, performance, and human function. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Exercise Science.
During graduate school, Dr. Depretis gained hands-on experience working as a graduate assistant, supporting exercise instruction for faculty, staff, and undergraduate students. His work included strength training, aquatic exercise, and group fitness programming. He also holds the designation of Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Through these experiences, he developed a strong appreciation for how proper movement, strength, and joint function work together to support overall health.
Motivated to expand his impact beyond exercise alone, Dr. Depretis pursued chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. While at Palmer, he was actively involved in the Pi Kappa Chi Professional Chiropractic Fraternity and completed advanced training in upper and lower extremity adjusting. He also pursued additional continuing education in soft tissue techniques and Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) to further refine his hands-on approach to care.
Dr. Depretis blends his expertise in exercise science with chiropractic care to address how the body moves as a whole, helping patients improve mobility, reduce stress on joints and tissues, and return to the activities they enjoy.
From the Doctor
Muscles and joints are designed to work together. Exercise helps build strength and control, while chiropractic care restores proper joint motion and alignment. When both systems are functioning well, the body can move more efficiently and with less strain. My goal is to help patients create that balance so they can move better, feel stronger, and function at their highest level. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Murrysville & surrounding communities, and to work with individuals and families who are committed to improving their overall health. I look forward to partnering with patients as they take an active role in their care and work toward long-term wellness and better movement.
